21810265 SEMINAR - HUNGARY IN XXTH CENTURY in Political science for Cooperation and Development L-36 GUIDA FRANCESCO
(syllabus)
Hungary in XXth century
The knowledge of Hungary and its history is rather limited among the Italian public. Only some current political aspects have attracted the attention of the newspapers readers. Nevertheless, the Hungarian history introduces different interesting issues because of its political experiences and phases, concerning both the most recent years and the Modern age. Besides, it is clearly connected with the history of the entire European continent, included Italy. It is impossible in a seminar to present the history of many centuries; therefore, the classes will concern the contemporary history and particularly the politic, but also social and economic history of the XXth century. That history has been judged original and peculiar by the researchers, mainly for the Horthy regime or for the communist regime. The students, by an active participation to the seminar, can acquire a sufficiently deepened knowledge of the Hungarian Country. Besides, they can use the researches of the Interuniversitarian Center of Hungarian studies (CISUECO). The texts to study will be free offered by that Center.
