NOCE CARLA
(syllabus)
Jesus, ancient and medieval Christianities.
The course aims to introduce the students to the history of Christianisms in Ancient and Early Medieval Times. The use of the plural form "Christianisms" immediately intends to clarify that it doesn't deal with the history of the Roman Catholic Church, but with the variegated developments of Christianity within the first eight centuries. Specific purpose of the course is to start the student to a critical reading of the sources, facing methodological matters and giving ample space to the scholarly debate. During the course we will visit significant Christian sites.
