The course will focus on the study and examination of social security law, basic and complementary, public and private. In particular, the following topics will be dealt with: social security; the legal system of social security and social assistance; contribution obligation and financing; social security relationship and benefit; sickness, family income, disability and incapacity; unemployment, employer's insolvency, wage integration; old age and early retirement pension, survivors' benefits; the complementary social security system; social assistance and citizenship rights.

The course will focus on the Italian Social Security System.

- Social Security and employment relationship
- Employee’s sickness
- Family income
- Disability and inability of the employees
- Unemployment
- Insolvency of the employer
- Income support
- Old-age pension (“Pensione di vecchiaia”)
- Econimic perfomances in favour of the employee’s relatives
- Extra pension scheme plan
- Welfare and Italian citizenship’s right.
