The following topics will be covered during the lessons:
- The characteristics and specificities of archival documents in the context of other cultural heritage items;
- The creation and management of archives for practical, administrative, and legal-evidential purposes;
- Historical archives and their preservation in the context of current legislation in Italy;
- Methods for organising and describing archives and related doctrinal developments;
- Tools for managing, searching and describing archival documentation;
- The role played by archives in medieval and modern times and in contemporary society.
