TELECOMMUNICATION ECONOMY
(objectives)
The course provides basic elements for the understanding of economic phenomena characteristic of telecommunication markets. It provides an overview on the historical evolution of the information and communication market, with details on the areas of media and information and communication technologies (ICT), and on the effects that these latter have in modern society. Specific attention is devoted to regulatory aspects currently in force in these areas, and on the issues associate to regulation. Elements of "net economy" are also proposed, and future enabling technologies discussed. Basic elements concerning management, organization and business planning are also described.
