(syllabus)
The aim of the course is to illustrate the profound and pervasive transformations of the economy and society between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, from the first to second and third industrial revolution. Furthermore, the origin, development and crisis of the welfare state will be analyzed, with a special focus on the Italian case.
