Late Antique Archaeology (I Semester - 12 CFU)
Roman Catacombs Paintings (I-II).
The course will give the students the instruments which are needed to evaluate iconographic documents, with the aim of facilitating the reading of the ancient, Late Antique and Early Medieval images. The evolutionary dynamic of Christian Art will be analyzed from the iconographic, iconological and stylistic perspectives, with particular attention to the paintings of Roman Catacombs.
