(syllabus)
Ytalya. Art, visual culture, society, 1960-1970
The course examines the Italian artistic and cultural landscape of a crucial decade for the definition of a different, conflicting and in many ways unresolved modernity. Through the close study of works of art, critical and literary texts, film production and mass culture, we will try to explore, always in connection with the international scenario, the original characters, the breaking points, the innovations and the contradictions disseminated throughout the course of the decade.
