The course will deal with the use of "complex urban planning" in the context of sustainable urban regeneration in the national and European scenario. The course objective is the study of complex urban programs, their planning procedures, approval and implementation on the territory, their implications and contingent complexities in technical, administrative and social terms, highlighting the interrelation with other sectors of territorial government and with the elements of innovation useful for the management of urban phenomena and development strategies.
The course of "Procedures for the implementation of Complex Programs" will be divided into lectures, seminars and an individual exercise. The lessons will essentially focus on the new ways of designing urban transformation and regeneration, resulting in the emergence of new problems, or in any case the revival of the old ones in new and the changes that have taken place as a result of national and regional reforms in the field of " Government of the Territory ", of the roles and organization of the competent bodies and, more generally, of the evolution of economic conditions and social sensitivities.

The case of Endhoven, Holland, recovery of the Philips plants. - Urban environment: European commitment to sustainable development, in search of lost steps. - The Program Agreement and the Urban Planning Convention. Implementation procedures, contents. - Primary and secondary urbanization works within an urban program. Design and implementation with public evidence procedures referring to the Procurement Code. - Urban regeneration: tools, policies and possibilities for a new urban idea. - Regenerate the city with nature. Good practices in Europe. - Urban landscapes. Examples and good practices. - Sustainable cities, comparing European experiences. - From the district of the Victories to Tiburtino III °: An example of the application of the new law on urban regeneration of the Lazio Region (Law 7/2017).
