(syllabus)
The lessons will be devoted to the following subject: Theories of Citizenship and Different Forms of Belonging to Communities between late Middle Ages and Early Modern History. The course will be divided in two parts:
1) Understanding of the concept of "Ius commune", with a specific attention to the founding moment of Ius Commune between the 12th and the 14th century.
2) First theories of citizenship in the Medieval West from the 12th century onwards.
