(syllabus)
Course programma The course aims at presenting some texts that have contributed to build the canon of the Spanish theatre between the XVII and the XX centuries. Basic elements of the analysis of the dramatic text will be provided in its relationship with literature and performance. We will discuss the main translation problems it presents.

Varotti, Che cos’è un testo letterario, Roma, Carocci (chap. 3); f) The introductions to the recommended editions (see point 1, Texts) and any other critical materials that will be indicated by the professors on their website. Non-attending students are requested to contact the professors at least two months before the exam date. In addition, they must refer to the professors’ website for additional information and for the Temario of the exam (that is, the thematic guidelines useful for the exam preparation).
