The course will explore the streets of North American dramatic theatre, through the study of significant figures such as Eugene O'Neill, Tennessee Williams and Arthur Miller and the reading of some of their most representative works. The course offers an analysis of the aesthetic and theoretical foundations of Brecht's theatre, with particular attention to the theory and practice of Lehrstück and their various intermediate and post-dramatic adaptations.
