The course includes the study of the general features of the specialized languages and of various types of written texts. The horizontal dimension, i.e. the subject based stratification of these languages and texts , and the vertical dimension, i.e. the communicative situation and specific use related stratification, will be both considered.
The second part of the course will include the translation problems of specialized languages on the basis of these reflections, with practical experiences in the translation of authentic texts of various types.
