(syllabus)
The course illustrates (i) basic concepts on network science (i.e., cellular networks, vehicular ad hoc networks, social networks, etc.) and (ii) recent methodologies for the analysis of telecommunications systems through the use of simulation softwares (i.e., Network Simulator 2, The Opportunistic Network Environment). Finally, we will study the optical wireless communications in the visible light range (Visible Light Communications). Lab activities in teams through softwares and network devices.
