CIVIL LAW
(objectives)
The course concerns the law of obligations (art. 1173-1320 c.c.) and some sources of obligations different from contract and tort. The course implies the acquisition of the basic notions of the subject. Its goal, therefore, is an additional investigation on the law of obligations and some sources of obligations different from contract and tort in a systematic context with reference to the interpretation of the relevant rules given by the Courts and in the scientific literature.

Diritto civile is a monographic course focused on the discipline of the contract. After a framework dedicated to the study methods of civil law, the program examines: I) the system of sources of contract law (referring also to the supranational, and in particular European, regulatory production level); (II) the definition of the contract and its essential elements, in the light of jurisprudential and doctrinal elaboration; (III) the role of the contract in the regulation of the competitive market (with a special regard to business and consumer contracts); (IV) the main remedies offered by contract law.
