Introduction to the German Language The course aims to introduce the students to the German language. First, we will analyze learning theories and learning strategies. Then, after a short introduction into the history of the German Language, we will study linguistic variation and analyze the German language from a contrastive point of view, studying the biggest difficulties of the German language for an Italian learner, such as the German syntax, the German nominal group, problems with the declination and the pronunciation of selected German words, word formation in German as opposed to word formation in Italian.
