(1A) Knowledge of the basic concepts of linguistics, such as, for example, phoneme, morpheme, phrase structure, lexeme. Comprehension of the distinction between the different levels of linguistic analysis. Development of the ability to use in a simple but correct and rigorous way the methodologies of linguistics, such as commutation tests and tree diagrams.

(1B) Knowledge of the basic notions and aspects of lexicon semantics, argument and sentential structure, speech acts; knowledge of the major languages families; basic notion of comparative and typological analysis. Language classifications (genetic comparison, typology and language contact), advanced reflection on the different levels of linguistic analysis, including the relation (“interfaces”) between formal, semantic and pragmatic aspects of languages.
