(syllabus)
THE CITY IS A COMPLEX ARTIFACT THAT HAS BEEN STRUCTURED SLOWLY OVER TIME. THE RELATIONS BETWEEN BUILDING PRODUCTS, INFRASTRUCTURES, AGRICULTURAL AREAS, NATURAL DEBRIS, ETC.., HAS PRODUCED AN ARTICULATED SETTLEMENT PATTERN AND AN INCREASING DIFFERENTIATION OF SPATIAL PATTERNS. THE RESULTING ORGANIZATION IS NOT REFLECTED IN A SINGLE PRINCIPLE, BUT IN THE COMBINATION OF THE OUTCOMES OF MANY GENERATIVE PRINCIPLES. IN THIS SENSE THE FUNDAMENTAL ASPECTS TO BE COVERED IN THE COURSE "SPATIAL ANALYSIS" CONCERN THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN "KNOWLEDGE" AND "TRANSFORMATION", ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN PRODUCTS, INTERPRETATION AND DESIGN. SO THE ORGANIZED AREA, THE CITY, THE ENVIRONMENT ARE THE SUBJECT OF STUDY. THEY, TOGETHER, CONSTITUTE THE UNIFIED FIELD OF KNOWLEDGE, ENGINEERING AND PLANNING, WHICH INTEGRATES THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE COMMON TO ALL THE COURSES RELATED TO THE SUBJECT. THE COURSE CONSISTS OF LECTURES AND EXERCISES. THE LECTURES HELD BY THE RESPONSIBLE OF THE COURSE, TEACHERS, STUDENTS AND EXTERNAL EXPERTS, WILL BE ORIENTED TO TRANSMIT THE CULTURAL REFERENCES AND BASIC KNOWLEDGE FOR THE EVOLUTION PROCESS OF SPATIAL PLANNING, LAW, URBAN PLANNING TOOLS AND ZONING TECHNIQUES, ALLOWING LEARNERS TO DEVELOP CRITERIA FOR ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION THAT ARE AT THE BASE OF EVERY PROJECT. EXERCISES WILL BE CARRIED OUT IN THE FORM WORKSHOPS INVOLVING STUDENTS AND TEACHERS, FOCUSING ON THE PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS OF COGNITIVE, PROCESSING, EVALUATION AND INTERPRETATION STEPS BEFORE THE REALIZATION OF A PROJECT. THE APPLICATION PART REQUIRES THE PREPARATION OF DOCUMENTS CONTAINING THE EVALUATION OF THE CONSTITUENT, FUNCTIONAL AND SPATIAL ELEMENTS OF A TERRITORY AND / OR URBAN SPACE (AGREED WITH THE TEACHER).
