CONVERSO STEFANO
(syllabus)
The class is structured on the combination of pratical experimentation of parametric design software procedure, with a constant theoretical understanding of the relationship and consequences of this approach in the contemporary context where architects operate, made of constant need of interaction, exchange and mutual interference with specialists, consultants, contractors. Students have to pass a series of design exercises based on the generation of variable components and of their assembly. Design assigments acquire increasing complexity and end up in a final project for a fully simulated small architectural component, whose components are directly prepared for File to Factory fabrication, using 2D milling technology. Projects are often prototyped in scale models using laser cut technology.
