STATISTICAL METHODS FOR SOCIAL RESEARCH (L40)
(objectives)
This course presents the student with some of the basic concepts of descriptive statistics. Discusses the problems of summary statistical information (graphics and analytical) concerning a single character found in a population, focusing on the properties of the arithmetic mean and variability indexes.

(objectives)
This course presents the student with some of the basic concepts of inferential statistic. It discusses the main sampling techniques, the probability theory, the estimation theory and the significativity tests. Among the statistical models, the regression linear model and the analysis of varianza are considered.
