Title of the course: In the lexicographer's laboratory
Description of the course: The history of our Language can be retraced also through the dictionaries that, along the time, have described and codified it and that often mirror the specific historical moment during which they were produced. The course is centred on the diacronic and syncronic study of Italian lexicon through lexicography. It will retrace the history of dictionaries in Italy, from their origin up to now, and will take into exam their various typologies and structure of composition.
