PROGRAMMA FILMOLOGIA-ANNO ACCADEMICO 2017-2018 LM (6CFU)- PROF.SSA PERNIOLA

The filmology course includes an aesthetic and thematic analysis of the cinema of the Italian director Gillo Pontecorvo, known especially for his masterpiece La battaglia di Algeri (1966). During the course will be analyzed in detail all his five feature films, with a focus on language and aesthetic forms chosen by the author, characterized by a combination of classicism and modernity. We will also examine the critical aspects of his work and the ability to approach with great modernity themes until then little dealt with in the field of Italian cinema.

Lessons are given:
16, 19, 23, 26 April
3, 7, 10, 12 (10-13 hours), 14, 17, 21, 24 May
9-12 hrs unless otherwise indicated.
