PIANETA TERRA: GEOLOGIA, GEOMORFOLOGIA E CLIMI

THE COURSE WILL PROVIDE THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE FOR UNDERSTANDING THE GEOLOGICAL, GEOMORPHOLOGICAL AND CLIMATE OF THE ITALIAN TERRITORY, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THE KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY FOR UNDERSTANDING THE NATURAL SETTING OF TYPICAL ITALIAN PRODUCTS. BY STUDYING AT THE GLOBAL, REGIONAL AND LOCAL INTERACTIONS BETWEEN ENDOGENOUS AND EXOGENOUS PROCESSES, THE COURSE WILL UNDERSTAND THE CLOSE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GEOLOGICAL PROCESSES AND THOSE OF THE RELIEF MODELING, RESPONSIBLE FOR THE VARIETY OF SOILS AND THEIR PACKAGING ON FOOD AND AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS FOOD AND WINE THAT ARE DERIVED FROM THESE. THE GEOLOGICAL AND GEOMORPHOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE WILL HELP TO IMPROVE THE PRESENTATION OF FOOD AND WINE AND FOOD PRODUCTS, PRODUCTS THAT DESERVE TO BE TOLD IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER AND FRAMED WELL IN THE AREA OF ORIGIN. DURING EXERCISES AND FIELD TRIPS THE STUDENTS WILL LEARN TO UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF THE ITALIAN TERRITORY, WITH PARTICULAR REGARD TO ITS ENVIRONMENTAL VALUE.
