The module illustrates the main phonological, morphological, syntactic and lexical features of contemporary English. It also trains students in the use of monolingual dictionaries. Language improvement classes: reading, writing, listening and speaking activities leading to the required level. STUDENTS MUST PASS THEIR B1 (first language) LANGUAGE TESTS BEFORE DOING THIS EXAM. STUDENTS WILL BE AWARDED 12 ECTS ONLY IF THEY PASS THE. EXAM STUDENTS MUST SIGN UP ONLINE (GOMP) FOR ALL EXAMS, INCLUDING LANGUAGE TESTS, AND ALL“PROVE INTERMEDIE”, AMONG WHICH THE SPEAKING COMPONENT ” (IN MAY AND JANUARY) STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO ATTEND CLASSES. THOSE WHO CANNOT ATTEND THEM ARE REQUESTED TO MEET THE COURSE TEACHER AT THE BEGINNING OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR.

The module illustrates the main phonological, morphological, syntactic and lexical features of contemporary English. It also trains students in the use of monolingual dictionaries. Language improvement classes: reading, writing, listening and speaking activities leading to the required level. Students must pass their B1 (first language) or A2 (second language) language tests before taking this exam. Students will be awarded 12 ECTS only if they complete the whole module and pass the final exam. Students are strongly advised to attend classes. Those students who cannot attend classes are requested to meet the course teacher at the beginning of the academic year.
