Description of the course: The course aims to study, also in a comparative perspective, authors, works and literary movements of the late Nineteenth century and of the early two Thousands. Starting from the social and cultural changes of the Sixties and arriving to these days, the student will follow the development of Italian literary history from both the poetic and narrative point of view. Every author will be studied in his historical and geographical context and through the reading ad analysis of his main works.

Possible propedeutics: The exam is propedeutic to CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN LITERATURE

Bibliography:
The exam program include the knowledge of the whole literary context of the late twentieth century and of the early Two Thousands. It also includes the reading of four of the followings works (and detailed knowledge of their authors), whose choose should be prearranged in agreement with the teacher:

Attendant students are required to read entirely 4 texts of the above mentioned (two novels and two poetic collections);
Students who do NOT attend classes are required to read entirely 6 texts of the above mentioned (three novels and three poetic collections); Erasmus students are required to read only 2 textes among the above mentioned (1 novel and 1 poetic collection).
