(syllabus)
The course investigates the film analysis through the “beginnings” and the “endings” of some movies: on one side, a few Spanish language films analyzed in English by an American scholar; on the other side, the “un-happy endings” of di Hollywood director Frank Capra, who isn’t well known among the younger generations. Re-viewing those film, the student will appreciate some clues to analyze both classic and modern cinema.
