(syllabus)
The "live theater", the main object of the course, between traditions and crafts, will be observed from two specific points of view: the puppet theater, puppet and puppet; theaters in prison. For both parts of the course students are expected to participate in live shows. Part one: study and laboratory meetings dedicated to specific areas of figure theater framed by scholars, artists and masters, both from the historiographic point of view and from that of current stage practice. Part two: specifically dedicated to theaters in prison where it will be possible to follow live shows made by companies of prisoners actors who will perform at the Palladium theater. The common goal is to examine the "living" reality of these theatrical forms, their expressive possibilities, with particular attention to the renewal of traditions and crafts. Material theater and at the same time theater of history and memory.
