In 2015-2016, the course is dedicated to Prof. Luigi DE LUCA, Master of the discipline, which has given the University of Roma Tre, Department of Law, a rich library fund and Journal Articles
Articulation of the course First module (2 credits): The three Religions of the Book, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, their development and relations with State. Second module (1 credit): Analysis of the concept of laicity, its relationship with totalitarianism, modern State, Islam. Third module (2 credits): Religious rights, institutional relations between churches and State. Fourth module (2 credits): Denominations structures and activities.
Program Relationships evolution between religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) in Europe's history and relationships evolution between churches and State in Christian Europe. Secularism, totalitarianism and modern State. Religious rights and their articulation. Religious rights and multiculturalism. Institutional profiles about relations between churches and State in Italy. Essential elements of ecclesiastical bodies and marriage rules.
Erasmus students Compulsory attendance for 'Erasmus' students.
Other information It is better to attend the course in all its parts, since the examination relates on arguments developed in classroom.

Purpose Acquire the essential terms of religion and society dialectic and the development of relations between Churches and State in Europe. Knowledge of basic rules governing the religious phenomenon.
