GLOBALIZATION CIVIL LAW
Private Law & Globalization

The topic of the course is the impact of globalization on legal institutions, and in particular on private law.
After examining in general terms the meaning and the characteristics of the economic-social process to which the name of globalization is given, the theme will be dealt with in the historical perspective of the evolution of modern private law, from the Code Civil to the contemporary systems.
Particular attention will be given to the Constitution and its implementation by the legislator, the jurisprudence and the doctrine.
The consequences of globalization on the legal system will therefore be studied, with particular reference to the law of the European Union and to the relationship between the constitutional principles and those of European law.
The aim is to offer tools for reading and interpreting the law, giving prominence to the impact that the transformations of capitalism, institutions and cultures have on the configuration of the fundamental law institutes.
