RELATIVITY THEORY
(objectives)
The course aims to introduce the student to the conceptual and experimental underpinnings of the theory of General Relativity, as a geometrical theory of the gravitational interaction, as well as to its philosophical and phenomenological implications. It is also meant to provide the basic technical tools of tensorial calculus and differential geometry needed to efficiently deal with the structure of Einsteinian space time as a Riemannian manifold.
