The course especially sets out: • specific characteristics of the construction components, materials and techniques used in historical architectures; • main issues about interventions for preservation, adjustment and refurbishment of the historical and environmental heritage; • appropriate and possible technologies to apply over buildings and their specific damaged areas; • methods for technological intervention's control in therms of number and quality; • control and review of the technological sustainability.
SPECIFIC AIMS OF THE COURSE • To develop the knowledge of the historical and traditional construction techniques; • To develop an eye for the correct use of the various traditional, innovative and modern technologies in restoration; • To develop the ability to evaluate the right level of architectural intervention and the appropriate technology related to the restoration environment.
