LECTURES: WRITTEN TEXT ANALYSIS. DEFINITION OF WORD AND OF MEANING. DENOITATION AND CONNOTATION. COHESION, COHERENCE, CO-TEST, CONTEXT, TEXT-TYPES, ADVERTISEMENTS, ROLE OF ADDRESSEES. LANGUAGE IMPROVEMENT CLASSES: READING, WRITING, LISTENING AND SPEAKING ACTIVITIES AT B1 LEVEL STUDENTS MUST PASS THEIR 1ST YR 2ND LANGUAGE EXAM BEFORE DOING THIS EXAM. STUDENTS MUST PASS THEIR B1 LANGUAGE TESTS BEFORE DOING THIS EXAM. STUDENTS WILL BE AWARDED 12 ECTS ONLY ON COMPLETING ALL ACTIVITIES STUDENTS MUST SIGN UP ONLINE (GOMP) FOR ALL EXAMS,INCLUDING LANGUAGE TESTS, AND ALL“PROVE INTERMEDIE”, AMONG WHICH THE SPEAKING COMPONENT ” (IN MAY AND JANUARY). STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO ATTEND CLASSES. THOSE WHO CANNOT ATTEND THEM ARE REQUESTED TO MEET THE COURSE TEACHER AT THE BEGINNING OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR.
