(syllabus)
The course will focus on the analys of an informal Egyptian Arabic text, the short novel collection "Taxi" by Khalid Al Khamissi. Students will be gradually lead to decipher non-standard items in the text, its encoding in TEI format and the preparatoin of an input to semi-automatic lemmatizatoin and encoding of semantic dependencies.
At the same time, students will learn to discuss traduction-related subject matters and issues in comparison with the Italian translation by Ernesto Pagano.
