Aim of the seminar is to stimulate the aptitude of the students (jurists of the future) in observing the law in action in front of religious instances of different societies (today as in the past). Critical aspects of the legal systems - the cogent force but also the limits of the laws - have a substantive impact on the people and his concrete lifes. To operate in the society as judges, lawyers or public employees should mean not to forget this critical involvment between law and religious faith.

Readings and course materials shall be provided during the course.
