(syllabus)
Develop a better understanding of the institutional structure of the US Supreme Court and its role for the development of the US legal system; in particular the course will provide a historical and comparative analysis of the court’s adjudication on fundamental rights and will focus on a set of highly contested issues (like gun rights, marriage equality, privacy and abortion, campaign funding) on the light of the recent election of President Donald Trump.
