First part - Companies: definition and classification; the paradigm of business behavior; the legal entity: public and private legal persons; the economic subject and its role in the composition of the interests that influence the decisions; assessments of cost-effectiveness and assessments of the efficiency and effectiveness of management in companies and supply companies.
Second part - Governance systems and planning, execution and control processes in public companies: the case of local authorities. Governance systems and the economy of companies operating in the public services sector.
Third part - Public services: definition difficulties and classification profiles. The production and delivery of public services: the main reference models in international theories and practices. The Italian experience. Deepening of the structures and dynamics characterizing some sectors of greater economic and social importance. Local public services: the diffusion of the in-house providing model and the most recent regulatory developments.
