SIGNAL PERCEPTION AND TRANSDUCTION PATHWAYS IN PLANT CELLS: RECEPTORS, MEDIATORS AND MODALITY OF TRANSDUCTION. SIGNALING PATHWAYS UPON HORMONE OR LIGHT PERCEPTION. CELL WALL AT THE INTERFACE BETWEEN INTRACELLULAR AND EXTRACELLULAR ENVIRONMENT: CELL SURFACE SENSORS AND RECEPTORS. ROLE OF REACTIVE OXYGEN SPECIES IN SIGNAL TRANSDUCTION. PHENOTYPIC PLASTICITY IN RESPONSES TO ABIOTIC STRESSES (DROUGHT, FLOODING, SALT STRESS, HIGH AND LOW TEMPERATURE, HIGH LIGHT).
