(syllabus)
THE COURSE (6 CFU) IS DIVIDED INTO TWO MAIN PARTS. THE FIRST ONE (5.5 CFU) IS AIMED AT DESCRIBING THE HISTORICAL AND NORMATIVE FRAMEWORK. THE SECOND ONE IS PLANNED TO FOCUS THE STUDY ON A VARIETY OF BOTH IN VITRO AND IN VIVO EXPERIMENTAL MODELS, WHOSE EMPLOYMENT IS USEFUL IN EITHER BIOLOGY APPLIED TO HUMAN HEALTH OR CELLULAR/MOLECULAR BIOLOGY. STARTING POINTS FOR DISCUSSIONS WILL BE PROVIDED, IN ORDER TO ENGAGE THE LEARNERS FOR THE WRITING OF A REPORT THAT WILL BE GOAL OF EXAMINATION. LABORATORY PRACTICES (0.5 CFU) WILL BE FIXED TOGETHER WITH THE STUDENTS WITH THE AIM OF ACQUIRING NEW TECHNIQUES ON SOME EXPERIMENTAL MODELS WIDELY USED IN BIOLOGICAL RESEARCH
(reference books)
TEXTBOOKS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL FOR HOMEWORKS WILL BE SUGGESTED TO LEARNERS DURING THE COURSE.
