METHODS AND TECHNIQUES IN VEGETATION ECOLOGY
(objectives)
MAJOR GOALS OF THIS COURSE ARE THE ACQUISITION OF KNOWLEDGE ON THE MAIN METHODS AND TECHNIQUES FOR THE STUDY OF VEGETATION: - ACQUIRE THE MASTERY OF THE STUDY METHODS OF VEGETATION; - INCREASE THE ABILITY TO INTERPRETING THE NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL PHENOMENA WITH SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE MECHANISMS OF TRANSFORMATION OF PLANT LANDSCAPES; - DEVELOP THE CAPACITY TO APPLICATION OF MOST APPROPRIATE METHODS FOR MONITORING OF THE PLANT COMMUNITIES FOR CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT PURPOSES; - INCREASE THE POSSIBILITIES OF INTERPRETATION OF EXPERIMENTAL DATA AND UNDERSTANDING OF SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES IN THE FIELDS OF PLANT ECOLOGY, GEOBOTANY AND APPLIED ECOLOGY.
