(syllabus)
Goal. Building a solid knowledge and a wide experience on the many issues and viewpoints of environmental education. Topics. The course will start from presenting the goals of environmental education and naturalistic dissemination; then it will explore the main methods and strategies to follow for a proper and effective scientific communication, and will describe a wide range of specific techniques and tools of environmental education: books (textbooks, guides, popular monographs), TV documentaries, websites, Agenda21 forum, science and nature museums, eco-museums, visitor centers, environmental interpretation centers, guided tours, animation techniques, nature photography and painting, collections. The course will also present a historical perspective of environmental and sustainability education as well as the evolution of the techniques and tools.

Dossier and learning materials will be provided during the course. Some reference handbooks and specific textbooks will be suggested. The teacher will be available to all the students who will not attend the classes to provide them all the materials, both in face-to-face meetings and via email. The teacher is available by appointment or via email.
