LECTURES: WRITTEN TEXT ANALYSIS. DEFINITION OF WORD AND OF MEANING. DENOTATION AND CONNOTATION. COHESION, COHERENCE, CO-TEST, CONTEXT, TEXT-TYPES, ADVERTISEMENTS, ROLE OF ADDRESSEES.
LANGUAGE IMPROVEMENT CLASSES: READING, WRITING, LISTENING AND SPEAKING ACTIVITIES AT B1 LEVEL.
Teaching/learning activities include: lectures; language improvement classes; use of language laboratory STUDENTS MUST PASS THEIR 1ST YR 2ND LANGUAGE EXAM BEFORE DOING THIS EXAM. STUDENTS MUST PASS THEIR B1 LANGUAGE TESTS BEFORE DOING THIS EXAM. STUDENTS WILL BE AWARDED 12 ECTS ONLY ON COMPLETING ALL ACTIVITIES STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO ATTEND CLASSES. I THEY CAN’T, THEY ARE REQUESTED TO MEET THE COURSE TEACHER AT THE BEGINNING OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR.
