LABOUR LAW II
(objectives)
The classes aim to give a close examination of the so called non standard employment contract (defined also as atipical contract and flexible contract) different from the open ended employment contract, even taking in account the most recent changes happened in the field.

The course will focus on the Italian Social Security System.
Lessons program covers the following topics: - Italian Social Security System - Employer’s duties of contributions - Social Security and employment relationship - Employee’s sickness - Family income - Disability and inability of the employees - Unemployment - Insolvency of the employer - Income support - Old-age pension (“Pensione di vecchiaia”) - Econimic perfomances in favour of the employee’s relatives - Extra pension scheme plan - Welfare and Italian citizenship’s right.

R.PESSI, Lezioni di diritto della previdenza sociale, Padova, Cedam, 2014 (Section I, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV. It is suggested to read also sections from II to VI).
ERASMUS STUDENTS Erasmus students are required to complete an essay comparing the legal system of the country of origin with the Italian legal system with regard to a single argument.

Please note that students who fail the exam or reject the mark are allowed to repeat the exam in the subsequent examination day. Students are not allowed to sit both exams (Diritto del Lavoro and Diritto del Lavoro II) within the same day.
