(syllabus)
The course includes an active involvement of the students throughout a specifically built platform, analysis and comment of the reference books. Course’s aim is to introduce the participants to think about technologies able to promote the crossing of certain beliefs and commonplaces that still permeate school. Firstly, that we are in front of a “controllable” phenomenon that must be rejected and kept outside school’s walls. Secondly, that it is a dimension dedicated to specialists and, for this reason, even if accepted, it must be confined into school’s specific spaces. Finally, that we are managing simple mechanical supports or mere tools that characterized in a negative way, according these beliefs, our time. On the contrary, it is necessary and even more important to favour the diffusion, in the world of school and education, of a true and felt debate that helps teachers and educators to better comprehend with suitable keys, how languages and technological instruments (of old and new generation), proficiency and continuously used by young people, must be legitimately present in school in order to observe a real change in educational paradigms.
