The course aims to provide students with basic knowledge of the historical development of the concepts of school, education and pedagogy in the Western world. Particular attention will be given to the training of the Italian school system post-unification. The course will be held seminar readings of some classics of twentieth-century educational thought. Students will also be invited to participate in online activities prepared on the platform of the Department which will host discussion forums, exchange of educational materials and bibliographic information. And 'therefore mandatory enrollment of students to the platform Formonline.
