PRESRESSED REINFORCED CONCRETE: technology and prestressing methods, materials, construction phases, elastic calculus of tensions in a prestressed concrete beam (p.r.c) , ultimate flexural strength of a p.r.c beam. Design of p.r.c sections with full or limited prestressing level, position of cables, resultant cable, Guyon fuse, equivalent load system, calculus of the hyperstatic reactions due to prestressing, c-line, Guyon theorem and concordant cable, anchorage and distribution of the prestressing force, construction details. DISCONITUITY REGIONS: principles and methods of calculation (Strut-and-tie methods, Finite Element, etc..), examples (Deep Beam, corbel, Gerber Saddles, etc..)
