Derived from	21002142-1 PARTE I in Master of Science - Architecture LM-4 N0 TEDESCHINI LALLI LAURA (syllabus) The first part consists of a "reading course" on recent research literature in architecture and the sciences, such as from journals "Nexus-Mathematics and Architecture" and "Architectural Geometry". Possible mathematical themes shared by several papers will be dealt with in frontal lectures. Possible themes: analysis and mathematical modelling of existing arcs, and comparison between model and artifact. Diffusion of sound in confined spaces. Diffusion of sound in open spaces. Historical mathematical curves and their exploitation in architectural design: logarythmic rosettes. Golden section as paradigm of approximation depending on different number representation.
