Through the reading of one of the last courses that Michel Foucault held at the Collège de France we will see how the "issue of the subject" has always been the focus of his research and how some philosophies of the late antiquity may provide an example of "subjectivity" ethics in which the "self-care" and the "practices of freedom" allow to escape from the ”subjection" to the powers-knowledge previously shown in the genealogy of the modern man.
