(syllabus)
Module A After a brief description of the main medieval philosophical tendencies, the course will focus on how the elements of Greek philosophy are reconsidered in the theological categories of Christianity. Through the analytical reading of selected sections from the Monologion and the Proslogion it will be examined Anselm’s original metaphysics, with particular reference to theology and to the ideas of nothing and truth. Module B The course will deepen the interpretation of Anselm’s philosophy through the reading and the comment of large sections from the Monologion, the De veritate and the Proslogion.
