CFU: 6 Semestre II LAUREA MAGISTRALE ore 36 From dig to history: the kilns for commercial amphoras of Roman Brindisi. The course aims to illustrate the actual application of the archaeological methods within the site of the Roman kilns near Giancola (Brindisi) were commercial amphorae were produced in the I century b.C. The historical premises will be illustrated together with the results of the survey carried on during the excavations. The stratigraphical sequence, the typological and archaemetrical studies, and the epigrahical data will be described, to show their interlacemntt towards the reconstruction of the different periods and phases that accompanied the life of the site.
