The course will offer an opportunity to learn and practice some methods and tools in the study of art history from 15th to 18th century analysing their historiographical and critical functions and implications.
Beside lectures also class exercises, seminars, visits to churches, museums, exhibitions will be organized.


Main topic of the course will be the analysis of stylistic features in painting and sculpture in Renaissance and Baroque Art. Examples of stylistic analysis in sources from 15th to 18th centuries will also be considered and studied.
